Brief product description

The Traffic Monitor is a wireless palm-pilot size device that provides real-time information regarding traffic congestion and incidents for a selected metropolitan area. The LCD display contains a map of the current traffic conditions and detailed data of specific traffic patterns. Freeways on the map are highlighted by two rows of lights (one for each direction of traffic flow) that display different colors depending on the amount of traffic at a given point on the map and flash to indicate an incident. Street level information is available as well.

Control:

The Traffic monitors simple interface consists of an on/off switch and two knobs. One knob (the bigger more prominent knob) cycles between traffic maps of different geographical regions such as districts. One metropolitan area may consist of a dozen of these regions. The second knob cycles incident information which are displayed as a short messages on the top or bottom of the screen.
